AFC Leopards will face off with KCB in the KPL seasons opener at Nyayo Stadium on Sunday 21st at 3PM. Coming just a week after thrashing Ethiopia's Banks in the first round of CAF Cup challenge, Ingwe's morale is at all time high and looks forward to building on the good form by humbling the local bankers. Veteran coach Chris Makokha is well privy to the fact that a good start to a league is crucial and is doing all within his powers to prepare his youthful side for the task. "We are busy righting the wrongs we made during the past two matches against Sofapaka and Banks, and we promise to prevail on Sunday", he said. He is likely to utilise the services of new kid on the block, Martin "Korea" Imbalabala, to terrorise the bankers upfroont while checking their strikers on the backline. At 19 years, Imbalabala is tipped to be the one to fill in Musa Otieno's shoes, having already scored two goals in his first two competitive matches. Leopards will also be counting on the services on former Sofapaka striker Diamonde Selenga and congolese import Imbem Itubu to distabilise KCB's defence line.(posted on 18/02/2010 by Raba D'Cruz)
